Regional Sales Leader I

Position Summary:

 

The Regional Sales Leader (RSL) reports to the Director of Sales in their respective region and is responsible for developing a team of specialized sales reps to drive sales market results through customer retention, growth, and account management. The role will require the development of strong partnerships with all levels of an organization to be successful, both internally within our business and externally with our customers. The RSL will engage regularly with our internal strategic marketing team on key strategies, and then work to ensure the region’s team executes those strategies in their respective markets. Additionally, the RSL will have the responsibility of owning their own key accounts across the region, and thus will model the behavior for its direct reports through these relationships. This role is a key sales position with the opportunity to deliver step change sales growth for James Hardie.

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a team of sales reps to execute on strategic goals.
  • Utilize and champion the use of CRM tools as a subject matter expert to drive the practice of making informed market decisions that lead to results.
  • Capable of identifying and removing bottlenecks to enable fluidity in business transactions. 
  • Partners for performance and models behavior for team with own ownership of key targets and accounts.
  • Support customers as they move to James Hardie by eliminating barriers to conversion & creating a positive customer experience through the transition.
  • Build momentum in the market by leveraging key conversions with other builders or developers in the market to amplify the trend in the market.
  • Manages and holds own self accountable to a priority based schedule with prospective customers. 
  • Able to make good choices on where and where not to allocate resources and time.
  • Develop a solid understanding of company products, customer programs and benefits, and our market development sales approach to effectively engage with prospective customers.
  • Capable of analyzing and interpreting data to drive decision making.
  • Able to host, lead and present in front of large audiences.
  • Passion for their company and personal success to meet or exceed goals.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of sales experience in a high touch sales environment.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Proven track record of developing, engaging, and recognizing talent and delivering results.
  • Effective performance management skills.
  • Prior track record of success in a business development role.
  • Ability to communicate and execute strategies effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to be resilient and adaptable in all situations.
  • Ability to work with and understand complex channels and distribution models.
  • Strong understanding of fundamental financial concepts.
  • Travel 50% overnight travel.
  • Valid driver’s license & Bachelors’ Degree Required.
