Senior Analyst - Commercial Finance

Reporting to the Manager - Commercial Finance Marketing FBP, the Senior Analyst – Commercial Finance is responsible for forward-looking partnership to drive achievement of goals and objectives of the ~$2.3B North America James Hardie Building Products Commercial business. You will be responsible for coordination of ~$100M to deliver the operating plan as well as business performance assessment, and commercial investment management. In addition to working across North America commercial leadership to support business decision-making, you will cross-functionally partner to drive delivery of business objectives.

Position Responsibilities
Lead mission critical financial reporting and analysis to drive business performance
• Drive forward-looking analytics to deliver operational action that achieve organization goals

• Deliver management reporting, dashboards, and scorecard that drive clarity of performance
• Develop and enhance self-service reporting tools

 

Build a robust investment prioritization and management environment
• Lead SG&A forecasting and planning process across the NA commercial organization

• Deliver monthly forecasts, variance analysis, and one-year operating plan

• Own standardization, process improvement and best practice implementation

• Partner with key commercial leadership to drive clarity of business performance and appropriate action

 

Partner cross-functionally to support sound business decision-making

• Lead development of key profitability measurement tools

• Support development and publication of cross-functional dashboards

• Partner across sales leadership and human resources on sales commission structure and payout

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with advanced degree preferred.
• 4+ years overall experience including 2+ years financial analysis.

• Strong modeling and data management skills

• Building, manufacturing or industrial sector experience preferred.
