Regional Sales Leader II

The Regional Sales Leader II (RSL) reports to the Director of Sales in their respective region and is responsible for developing a team of specialized sales reps to drive above market results through account management, customer retention, and market development. The role will require the development of strong partnerships with all levels of an organization to be successful, both internally within our business and externally with our customers. The RSL will engage regularly with our internal strategic marketing team on key strategies, and then work to ensure the region’s team executes those strategies in their respective markets through commercialization with our customers. Additionally, the RSL will have the responsibility of owning their own key accounts across the region, and thus will model the behavior for its direct reports through these relationships. This role is a key sales position with the opportunity to deliver step change sales growth for James Hardie. This incumbent will oversee the Central Midwest Team, including sales managers and sales reps and will be based out of Chicago, IL. 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required  
  • 7+ years of sales experience in a high tough sales environment
  • Sales experience in the residential construction industry (preferred)
  • Experience in executing a commercialization strategy
  • 3+ years of successful sales management experience
  • Proven track record of developing, engaging and recognizing talent and delivering results
  • Effective performance management skills
  • Prior track record of success in a business development role
  • Ability to communicate and execute strategies effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to be resilient and adaptable in all situations
  • Strong understanding of fundamental financial concepts
  •  50% overnight travel
