The Integration Architect position will be a key member of an agile enterprise data group overseeing James Hardie’s enterprise information assets. You will partner with IT and business to support the continued growth and success of James Hardie in a robust and cohesive team.  In order to be successful, the Integration architect focuses on execution of the Integration Strategy within James Hardie and works closely with Business Analysts and end users to design, develop, test, and implement interfaces to/from various Enterprise Systems and the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) to effectively meet business requirements. The position will be developing and supporting an Informatica cloud environment utilizing IICS. In addition to project work, this position will also provide Business As Usual (BAU) support for the existing environment by developing new programs and enhancements to support existing business requirements.  This position reports to the Director, Enterprise Data & Analytics, and has no direct reports.

 

 

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead or participate in gathering business and integration requirements
  • Search out opportunities to improve business efficiency and automation utilizing integration tools and strategies
  • Participate in creation and execution of the Integration strategy globally
  • Design and devlopment with Informatica IICS or PowerCenter in either/both Data Warehousing and Enterprise Integration projects
  • Understand the transformation design needs for a specific set of data
  • Build & test Integration jobs to transfer and transform the data between systems
  • Develop and improve relationships with vendors, customers, internal departments, and other associated entities
  • Collaborate with internal and external departments to accomplish various tasks and projects
  • Provides ongoing Business as Usual (BAU) support for the Informatica system by developing new capabilities as needed while working with Business Analysts to modify and test programs ensuring adequate end user testing and acceptance of all changes

Position Requirements

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Information Technology related field
  • 10+ years’ experience as an integration engineer utilizing Informatica or other enterprise class ETL tool (IBM Datastage, Oracle Data Integrator, etc)
  • 3+ years’ experience leading integration architecture in a global organization
  • 2+ years’ experience specifically using Informatica IICS cloud-based tools
  • Strong SQL coding skills for data analysis and testing
  • Superior analytical, problem solving, troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals.
  • Demonstrated Teamwork / collaboration expertise with experience in taking a leadership role in team / project activities.
  • Understanding of full life cycle development methodology
  • Demonstrated ability to remain effective and productive in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Ability to provide after-hours support as required
  • Experience with agile style project management techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to provide constructive feedback to management
  • Ability to clearly present written and verbal information to executive management

 

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Master’s Degree Preferred in Business, Information Systems or Information Technology related field
  • Experience with Cloud-based database integrations (Azure, Amazon, Google)
  • Experience with multiple tools in multiple implementation models and architecture design.
