HR Representative I

Position Summary


The Human Resources (HR) Representative – Corporate Functions partners with the HR Team to develop employee capabilities and improve performance of business operations within the Finance, IT and Legal teams. This will include the facilitation and implementation of key HR strategies and client specific initiatives to recruit, retain and develop the workforce located throughout the world. In addition, the HR Representative will help develop and implement process improvements in the HR department’s service and support to their teams and assist with day to day operations. The incumbent will showcase his/her communication, employee relations expertise and organizational skills to ensure our internal clients are provided assistance, support and customer service in line with the Business strategies and Company’s missions and values.


Position Responsibilities


Support Global Corporate HR, Finance, and IT with HR programs and initiatives (75%):

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and Hiring Managers throughout the recruiting and onboarding processes, including interviewing, creation of onboarding guides, and first day set up
  • Act as first point of contact for all HR systems, benefits, or administrative related questions
  • Assist with implementation of effective retention strategies, including recognition, engagement, and employee surveys
  • Gather ongoing feedback from employees through new hire check-ins and exit interviews
  • Ensure that all employee relations issues are quickly addressed and resolved in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and attend counseling meetings with managers and employees as needed
  • Support performance management process including review of annual goals, bi-annual process administration, and assisting managers with Individual Development Plans


Assume responsibility for effectively recording, maintaining, and reporting employee data and human resources information (25%):

  • Ensure that human resources files and employment records are accurate, organized and up-to-date, as well as maintained in accordance with legal requirements, policies and procedures
  • Run weekly and monthly employee reports including headcount, benefits, and employee data; interpret data in conjunction with the HR team
  • Manage compliance courses and follow up with managers and employees as necessary

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities


  • Demonstrated knowledge of the practices and principles of Human Resources including FMLA, ADA, worker’s compensation, safety administration, benefits, employee relations, and providing consultative services to various client groups
  • Demonstrated knowledge of US federal and state employment law and equal employment guidelines and policies including the principles and practices of staffing administration including methods and techniques used in recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, and training
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively take action to solve problems while exhibiting sound judgment and successful stress tolerance
  • Experience with Human Resource systems
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to develop and guide processes through to closure
  • Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software)
  • Strong results orientation and a history of driving positive change with measurable results
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure and deal with multiple priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential material and information in an ethical, professional manner



  • Experience working in ADP, SuccessFactors and Kronos
  • Working knowledge of Concur


Education/Experience Required


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field
  • 1-2 years of generalist HR experience with exposure to employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, training and development, and recruitment
  • Understanding of California law, preferred
  • Ability to travel ~5%
