Director of Consumer Insights & Analytics

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director of Customer Insights & Analytics key focus will be to provide meaningful insights to the Commercial Organization that, in conjunction with FP&A and other functions will help drive the future forward planning of the exterior sales team. This role will be responsible for nurturing growing both internal and external relationships to facilitate information sharing and data accuracy. Additionally they will need to be able to adjust quickly to changing business needs and market momentum. This role is also responsible for the leadership, coaching and development of direct reports and collaborating with all members of the Commercial Data & Analytics Team. The Director of Commercial Data & Analytics, is the critical link between the various Commercial teams and provides valuable insight on a daily basis to the performance through analysis and reporting.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Clear understanding and forecasting of how and where our board flows through to the end-user
  • Analysis of large amounts of customer data and internal data to isolate key trends and business opportunities to develop actionable solutions and recommendations
  • Development and delivery of effective presentations that summarize complex analyses and inform business decisions
  • Ensuring that the right information is given to the field in the right way at the right times
  • Coach and advise Vice President, Sales Operations on change in direction and provide insight on Future Forward  Planning
  • Strong Partnership within Commercial Leadership team and cross-functionally to drive business performance
  • Identification and quantification of both profitable or opportunistic segments or customers \
  • Leadership, coaching, and development of direct reports
  • Preparation of timely and accurate reports to management
  • Interpretation and communication of performance, implications, recommendations
  • Provide annual projections, periodic forecasts, and business architecture (profitability per channel/platform/market) analyses as required
  • Lead development of analytical tools (both tactical and strategic) including scenarios to reach growth and profitability targets
  • Linkage between pricing and the business to ensure that business goals are being met and barriers are removed

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience leveraging data driven insights to impact business growth
  • Strong leadership qualities with definitive, successful experience in leadership positions
  • Ability to drive change and effectively lead large, multi-departmental, cross-functional teams to successful achievement of corporate goals
  • Strong interpersonal skills – ability to thrive in a “matrix” organization
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate collaborative solutions to complex, multi-disciplinary problems and articulate features and benefits to appropriate management audiences
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including experience in managing large ERP systems (SAP)
  • Process improvement mindset. Identify and execute efficiency and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or equivalent preferred
