Position Description

The Director, Integrated Media is responsible for helping build James Hardie’s reputation across social channels by driving initiatives to build brand awareness.  This role will be responsible for elevating James Hardie’s North America social media strategy and activation to align with the business growth strategies and industry best practices. Additionally, the Director, Integrated Media will lead and grow a social marketing team who manages all of James Hardie’s social media efforts, including strategy, community management, media planning execution, listening, research and reporting.

  • Responsible for elevating James Hardie’s global external social media strategy which may include, but not limited to, the following initiatives: influencer engagement, thought leadership, awareness building, social selling, executive positioning, business campaigns
  • Plans and executes all digital media across search, social, TV, programmatic, out-of-home (OOH) channels in alignment with business goals and objectives
  • Create modern editorial plan including momentum mapping.  Responsible for budget allocation and reporting.
  • Partner with creative team and AOR on content creation to ensure media and creative strategies come to life in harmony.
  • Defines KPI, forecasting, insights and reporting on an ongoing basis by driving media efficiencies and business performance over time.
  • Maintain and evolve appropriate guidelines, social policies
  • Write and edit content for social media as needed and ensure alignment and consistency with brand voice across channels.
  • Responsible for staying abreast of social media trends in alignment with business opportunities.
  • Lead social community management and moderation. 
  • Partners User Experience Marketing Leader to optimize search engine marketing strategies (SEO/SEM) in development of strategies and tactical execution to maximize traffic to websites.

 

Skills And Qualifications

  • 10+ years of marketing or communications experience, with 10+ years of social media experience preferably both B2C and B2B in an agency and/or corporate environment
  • Experience converting users from desktop to mobile solutions
  • Effective communication and influence skills – ability to work collaboratively at all levels and across business to drive alignment and focus
  • Thrives in fast-paced, complex project management, with ability to juggle shifting timelines and priorities
  • Interest and experience in leading stakeholder presentations, communicating value and impact
  • Ability to problem solve and prioritize multiple priorities
