Job Description

James Hardie is looking to hire a Marketing Communications Director to be part of our growing brand team focusing our communication efforts to position it as a world class consumer brand marketing organization.  This person will be responsible for building, executing, and evaluating strategic marketing and communications plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write clear and compelling content, including key messages, statements, talking points, press releases and stories for a variety of channels.
  • Collaborate with and guide media outreach work of external vendors as needed.
  • Control the flow of information between the company and the public as well as the internal team in alignment with content strategy.
  • Drive key company communication initiatives across internal and external channels — from PR, brand and product campaigns.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, thought leaders, and internal stakeholders to craft narratives that resonate with influencers
  • Proactively develop creative pitches and opportunities around customer stories and industry thought leadership
  • Lead, grow, and develop the marketing communications team
  • Drive media coverage and external narrative with key outlets, driving consumer brand.

 

Skills And Qualifications
 

  • 15+ years’ experience in marketing with a focus on developing overall brand communication strategy in a B2B2C environment
  • 7+ years of experience leading, inspiring, and developing a team
  • Exceptional project management and organization skills, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to operate at both a strategic and executional level; ideate and directly execute
