Job Summary

Under the direction of the Chief Human Resources officer, this role will manage all Human Resources programs, service delivery and special projects within customer groups. Part of this responsibility includes identifying risks and recommending solutions to ensure we proactively manage both the needs of corporate staff customer group, the HR function and the organization as a whole. Projects and day to day work are moderate to complex in nature with medium to significant impact to the global business. Programs have moderate risk to the business unit. Decisions are typically limited by functional area or business/division objectives/guidelines.


The HR Business Partner for Global Corporate Staff Groups will be responsible to oversee HR business partnering and lead a small team to deliver other elements of Human Resources support for our corporate staff employees within the Finance, Information Technology and Legal groups. Some of this support will be directly provided by this role and direct reports while other elements will be provided in partnership with the local HR resources in the markets in which members of the corporate teams physically reside.

Specifically, this role will provide HR business partnering to the Chief Financial Officer, VP Information Technology and the Chief Legal Officer. The role is responsible to oversee a small team of HR professionals, providing support to a global total client group of approximately 350 employees. Many are located in the Chicago, IL office and the Mission Viejo, CA office as well as regional offices in Sydney, Australia, Dusseldorf, Germany and Dublin, Ireland. There are also members of the Finance team at our manufacturing locations.

Job Responsibilities


  • Provide HR business partnering and consultative support to senior leaders within the assigned customer groups.
  • Lead a team of 3 HR professionals, providing HR service delivery and core HR process support to corporate staff groups, partnering with one the ground/in market resources for local support, ensuring HR service levels and program support meet or exceed the needs of the organization.
  • Act as a steward for Talent Management within own team and customer group - teaching, role x`modeling and driving talent work that will enable enhanced organizational effectiveness.
  • Act as a member of the Global Human Resource Leadership Team - actively participating in the team to make key functional strategic decisions and deliver transformation project work to drive continuous improvement into our service and program offerings.
  • Work with direct reports and broader team to establish HR standard work and visual management, incorporating LEAN into HR service delivery and using analytics as a basis for decision making
  • Support and potentially lead transformation project work, as requested for both the HR function and client group (i.e., customer - organization design and talent acquisition / deployment, internal customer support and enablement, etc. / function - systems implementation, HRIS implementation, workforce planning initiatives and broad learning & development initiatives, etc.). Provide change management and communication leadership / support as appropriate.

  • Ability to create solutions for moderately complex problems, which requires ingenuity, creativity, innovation, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting client groups through periods of change and organizational transformation.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability understand business and project objectives and their impact on the broader business.
  • Ability to travel an average of 25%.


Education Level


Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Labor, Human Resources or related discipline required.

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in an assortment of Human Resources / business roles with expanded responsibility over time, including HR business partnering with senior leaders
  • Demonstrated capability, leading remotely located teams in key HR categories of work that are impactful to organizational performance.
  • Experience working on a global level - either gained in a formal global role or through accumulation of experience in multiple regions
  • Significant demonstrated experience in organization design, talent management, change management and communication as a HR business partner, supporting client groups in change/transformation initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Employee Relations investigative programs and analytics


Master’s Degree in related field and associated certifications and Project management experience - leading transformational HR initiatives
