Position Summary:


The Data Governance Specialist ensures customer data quality for the entire Sales Organization.  This includes improving existing data as well as initiating/ improving processes that will improve data quality.

This position is responsible for providing superior service by ensuring customer account information is accurate and complete, entered in a timely manner and updated regularly to provide customers with a seamless experience. This individual works closely with customers and business partners to deliver customer maintenance and cleansing processes that meet company standards for customer experience. 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and document processes/business rules for new account set up and maintenance.
  • Understands simple and complex account creation policies and procedures, to ensure all information is entered accurately and completely.  Work with the prospect, customer or business partner to achieve this goal.
  • Validate that all customer master and contact information is complete and accurate.
  • Work with field teams and customers to correct information.
  • Conducts new account audits.
  • Works collaboratively with business partners to analyze root cause for data defects.
  • Use established procedures for the monitoring of duplicate accounts and maintenance of account deactivation.
  • Ability to conduct inbound and outbound calls.
  • Assist in preparing measurements and compliance reporting that will be shared with Sales  leaders


Skills & Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent working experience preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years of customer service experience preferred
  • Technically savvy, ability to utilize internet and other tools to support the validation and verification of customer information
