POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Sales Communication Specialist is responsible for Sales Communication to our external and internal stakeholders. A critical piece of this role will be the ongoing nurturing of relationships through events and ongoing communication to broaden awareness of the James Hardie Brand, value and differentiation.  This role will report directly to the Sr. Director, Sales Operations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales Communication Execution (35%)
    • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and Communications Leader to execute internal and external customer communications programs
    • Analyze communications programs and make recommendations to adjust strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
    • In partnership with the Communications Manager, assist in executing customer events including (ie Aggregation Brand Day Events) as well follow-up on leads.
    • Aids in the creation and delivery of Internal and External content based on communication and/or engagement needs.
    • Prepare written materials including some marketing copy, business communications, reports, and presentation scripts.
    • Responsible for ensuring accuracy in information and proofreading
    • Ensure adherence to equipment, travel & expense policies
    • Maintain commercial field communication portal (extranet) and “Sales Operations” mailbox
    • Update and maintain field operations policies and procedures as needed
  • Executive Administration Support (45%)
    • Oversee, coordinate, and manager SVP of Sales calendar and travel
    • Assist in the planning of any Top to Top Customer Meetings
    • Manage all expenses on a weekly basis, utilizing Concur

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or 1 – 2 years of equivalent working experience
  • Willingness to learn new concepts, strategies, and technologies
  • Experience in writing copy, researching topics, and managing content calendar
  • Is comfortable working in a fast pace environment
  • Thorough understanding of branding and marketing communications strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Is well organized and can hit deadlines
