		<title>Warehouse Project Manager Job (Chicago, IL, US)</title>

 As our Warehouse Manager you will be tasked with many challenging opportunities that will contribute to the overall growth of the business. This is an exciting time for James Hardie and you could play a large part by supporting, developing and implementing a multi phased warehouse management system. You'll be based out of our regional corporate office in Chicago, IL but work out of our manufacturing facilities in Peru, IL and Pulaski, VA. This position will require hands on involvement at the manufacturing facilities and frequent visits to other manufacturing locations in the future. You will report directly to the VP of Supply Chain.

  <br><br><b><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b>:</b> 

The key requirements for the role are to have a strong relevant background in developing and implementing a warehouse management system. You will need to utilize your strong background to help the business overcome some key challenges.

Support the development, implementation and on going improvements to a multi phased Warehouse Management System (WMS) by:
 
&bull; Ensuring that the new system compliments and functions seamlessly with existing core business processes such as SAP and Manugistics.
&bull; Automating the SKU specific put away instructions for the site manufacturing line(s).
&bull; Automating the SKU specific pick list for outbound loads including those which are consolidated and multi-stop outbound shipping. This will most likely need to involve a real time locator system (RTLS) which will work with an RFID based automated identification & data collection system (AIDC)
&bull; Utilizing vehicle mounted, radio frequency (RF) based technology to communicate and confirm all warehouse tasks.
&bull; Automating the process to perform periodic physical inventory and cycle counts.
&bull; Automating the process to identify and track slow moving, made-to-order inventory SKU's.
&bull; Organizing and optimizing the physical space of the warehouse which is to include a densification strategy for made-to-order small to medium sized packages.

You will be required to evaluate our current warehouse infrastructure, tracking systems, and communication systems and make recommendations for improvements and be an active member of the implementation team.

 <br><b><br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b>:</b> 

Demonstrated experience and expertise in developing and implementing a warehouse management system.

Demonstrated ability to work with and drive cross-functional groups and external partners.

Strong track-record of developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems in a timely manner.

Demonstrated use of project management skills.

Demonstrated intermediate skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software).

Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in a warehouse environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication and interrelationship skills.

Ability to observe and understand existing and new processes.

Ability to observe and troubleshoot process issues.

Excellent documentation and presentation skills.

Bachelors degree in Engineering or other Technical field.

		<title>Supply Chain Project Manager Job (Chicago, IL, US)</title>
		<description><![CDATA[<b>Title:</b> Supply Chain Project Manager
<br><br><b>Job Description:</b> "As a member of the Supply Chain Team, the Customer Operations Business Development Project Manager oversees the Company's national program for business development projects and aligns all related programs within the Customer Operations team. The scope of the role includes integrating projects into customer service, production planning, scheduling, and transportation groups as well as additional Supply Chain initiated projects. The incumbent researches and creates innovative solutions and is responsible for the annual prioritization and implementation of the projects. The Customer Operations Business Development Project Manager reports to the Director of Customer Operations and will be based out of our Chicago office.

 <br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b>: 
  Runs and executes projects that relate to continuous improvement with the Supply Chain organization. Responsible for cradle to grave execution of the project and converting the projects from the business development team into the 'business as usual team' - Operation focus:
  Aligning programs with the strategic vision of the organization and implementing supply chain programs that support the Company's current and future organizational goals;
  Analyzing existing supply chain programs and prioritizing all projects and programs in accordance with the Company's long-term operations goals and planning;
  Planning resources in order to complete dueling priorities within limited timeframes;
  Execution of project initiatives within a tight project management time frame and within budget; and
  Frequently exploring the team's ability to put new knowledge, understanding, and skills into practical use on the job.

  Integrates business development solutions with our current systems and works closely with our IT and systems groups to make sure solutions are fully developed and executed and therefore sustainable once transferred into business as usual - System Understanding and Coordination:
  Coordinates with Systems group to translate business requirements into system requirements (SAP, APO, Manugistics)
  Plans and develops project timelines to assure project resources are available to implement system solutions. Works closely with IT/Systems group to ensure priorities are aligned.
  Teaching others on optimizing Manugistics, SAP, analysis tool design and development, and other forms of technology as appropriate with specific focus on new projects; and
  Acts as customer operations liaison for customer operations and supply chain support for implementing system solutions.

  Creates and develops next generation business projects which then get added to the project list for prioritization. This aspect of the role is expected to be a 'thinker' role to enable supply chain advancement to leverage the Company's competencies to create a competitive advantage.

 <br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b>: 
  Outstanding Project Management skills required.
  Demonstrated leadership skills and ability in guiding indirect reports to effectively accomplish performance goals.
  ERP systems software knowledge (SAP preferred).

Oversees the Customer Service Representative (CSR) performance and workflow on a daily basis by: (40%)

&bull; Allocating representative resources to efficiently and effectively meet the Company's and customer expectations;

&bull; Achieving the Company's goals of providing timely, reliable customer support on the phones

&bull; Achieving the Company's service commitments around timeliness and accuracy of delivery;

&bull; Ensuring that representatives are communicating proactively with customers to address any product availability or order processing issues

Coaches Customer Service Representative (CSR) to improve performance on a daily basis by: (35%)

&bull; Auditing orders processed to ensure that quality expectations are met and provide coaching to representative in areas of potential improvement

&bull; Monitoring inbound/outbound phone calls to ensure that quality expectations are met and provide coaching to Representative on opportunities for improvement

&bull; Identifying opportunities for representative coaching, training, system and business process improvement; and

&bull; Reviewing all credits processed due to Customer Service errors, determining root cause and implementing sustainable solutions.

&bull; Providing visibility on CSR and team performance, efficiency and quality through dashboards and scorecards.

Serves as a key instrument of change management and organizational development by: (25%)

&bull; Developing, reviewing and ensuring that all required documentation and training is prepared and implemented prior to key business initiatives such as product launches, discontinuations, price changes, etc

&bull; Partnering with Training to address any areas of unclear or incorrect documentation or business process flow.

&bull; Soliciting and addressing team feedback on a timely basis to mitigate any business risks or address key customer issues
