  <br><br><b><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b>:</b> 

The key requirements for the role are to have a strong relevant background in developing and implementing a warehouse management system. You will need to utilize your strong background to help the business overcome some key challenges.

Support the development, implementation and on going improvements to a multi phased Warehouse Management System (WMS) by:
 
&bull; Ensuring that the new system compliments and functions seamlessly with existing core business processes such as SAP and Manugistics.
&bull; Automating the SKU specific put away instructions for the site manufacturing line(s).
&bull; Automating the SKU specific pick list for outbound loads including those which are consolidated and multi-stop outbound shipping. This will most likely need to involve a real time locator system (RTLS) which will work with an RFID based automated identification & data collection system (AIDC)
&bull; Utilizing vehicle mounted, radio frequency (RF) based technology to communicate and confirm all warehouse tasks.
&bull; Automating the process to perform periodic physical inventory and cycle counts.
&bull; Automating the process to identify and track slow moving, made-to-order inventory SKU's.
&bull; Organizing and optimizing the physical space of the warehouse which is to include a densification strategy for made-to-order small to medium sized packages.

As a member of the Construction Department reporting to the Project Manager, the Electrical Project Engineer will work on Capital Projects including new installations and modifications and is responsible for all electrical equipment components and electrical systems. This individual should be capable of working independently on small capital projects and the ideal candidate will also exhibit a keen mechanical aptitude making him or her a candidate to manage medium to large capital projects in the future.

 Position <br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b> 

Responsible for the electrical portion of capital projects to include:
&bull; Supervise power distribution system design including electrical equipment layout, single line diagrams, and wiring schedules - purchase electrical components including transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and motor control centers - monitor and expedite deliveries;
&bull; Supervise automation system design including programming - purchase hardware and software including field instruments - monitor and expedite deliveries;
&bull; Participate in project design review meetings and coordinate with vendors;
&bull; Prepare electrical installation scope of work, bid and award contracts;
&bull; Supervise electrical equipment component and system installation - coordinate with plant;
&bull; Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and quality;
&bull; Enforce corporate and construction department safety rules and regulations;
&bull; Supervise electrical system checkout, startup, and turnover to plant;

Responsible for the development of Capital Project Requests to include:
&bull; Prepare electrical equipment lists for power distribution and controls;
&bull; Solicit quotations for equipment or estimate pricing using recent purchases;
&bull; Develop electrical installation scope of work;
&bull; Solicit quotations for installation or estimate costs using sound engineering judgment;
&bull; Review proposed design with plant operations, maintenance, and safety;
&bull; Prepare overall project estimate and Capital Expenditure Request for management review.

Assist plant electrical engineers when required to support business needs to include:

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 
Knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) and applicable OSHA standards (preferred).
Knowledge of database systems for process control applications (preferred).
Installation and programming knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC systems including PLC-5 processors, ControlLogix processors, RS Logix Software and Wonderware HMI software.
Developed a familiarity with and ability to work in Autocad drawing software including the ability to view and print drawings and make changes. Advanced drawing skills are preferred.
Demonstrated ability to pay attention to detail and continual diligence about follow-up.

As our Electro/Mechanical Project Engineer you will be tasked with many challenging opportunities that will contribute to the overall growth of the business. As a member of the Color Plus Department reporting to the Project Manager, you will work on Capital Projects including new installations and modifications and you will also be responsible for all Mechanical and Electrical equipment components and systems. In order to be effective in this role you will need to be equally capable of performing detailed engineering work in both disciplines. You should be capable of working independently and demonstrate the potential to manage medium to large capital projects in the future.

 IMPORTANT NOTE 
This is a very 'Hands On' position. To be considered, the candidate will need to Demonstrate the ability to perform each and every one of the above tasks on his / her own with the potential to supervise other engineers, consultants, or vendors performing the same tasks.

  <br><br><b><br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b>:</b> 

  Design Engineering: 
  Supervise mechanical design including plant layout, equipment arrangement, piping and instrumentation, and plant utilities;
  Supervise structural design including buildings, foundations and slabs, access platforms, equipment and crane support structures;
  Supervise power distribution system design including electrical equipment layout, single line diagrams, and wiring schedules;
  Supervise automation system design including programming and operator interface (HMI);
  Satisfy permit requirements including local building codes and FM;

  Equipment Purchase: 
  Develop specifications and purchase mechanical equipment and systems including process equipment, material handling equipment, complex machinery, fluid systems (hydraulic, pneumatic, and high pressure water), material conveyance systems, dust collection systems, storage silos, tanks, pumps, and valves;
  Purchase electrical power distribution equipment including transformers, switchgear, disconnects, and motor control centers;
  Purchase automation components including hardware (PLC Cabinets, Power Supply, Processors, I/O Modules, Communication Modules, Safety PLC, etc.) and software (Programming and MMI Platforms and Licenses), and field instrumentation.
  Lead project design review meetings;
  Ensure coordination between vendors;
  Monitor and Expedite all mechanical and electrical equipment deliveries;
  Process Invoices and Change Orders

  Construction and Startup: 
  Prepare Scope of Work for mechanical and electrical installation;
  Bid and award contracts;

As a member of the Accounting team in our Peru, IL plant, you will communicate with all levels of the plant to gather operational data and to report variances. Along with reporting, you will design and implement strategies, best practices, and process improvements throughout the plant to control this variance. You will also be responsible for coordinating and managing cycle counts and annual physical counts, as well as, forecasting and implementing the plant's budget.

Independently collects and analyzes operational data, and produces various reports outlining results by:

Gathering data from shop floor on production, inventory control, maintenance, etc.

Examining the plant's production costs,
Gain/Loss, and month end closing data;
 
Gaining understanding, explaining, and reconciling variances; and

Verbally communicating results and identifying resources and solutions to control gaps.


Coordinates and conducts cycle counts and annual physical counts within the plant by:

Gathering employees to take part in the cycle counts;

Training employees on the proper counting technique and measuring their understanding;

Ensuring cycle count is completed efficiently and accurately and that all data has been inputted properly; and

Analyzing data collected for variance.

Recognizes and highlights operational opportunities and initiates projects that provide solutions by:

Participating in daily/weekly plant meetings to explain results of analysis and possible solutions;

Continually identifying best practices and process improvements;

Designing and implementing process improvements throughout the plant;

Interacting with all levels of the plant to help drive change and gain commitment and buy-in for the new processes; and

Collaborating with business partners in the implantation of SAP to better control operational processes.

Builds and controls the annual budget for the plant by:

Gathering past years data and forecasting budget for the new year;

Determining additional labor, cost of labor, total cost/square foot of the plant; and

Communicating budget for the year and places controls to maintain this number.

Knowledge in SAP a plus.
