The Senior Product Marketing Manager position leads short & long term strategic marketing <br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b> and initiatives. The Product Marketing Manager works closely with the Product/Segment Managers and across the organization to develop, implement, and measure marketing/advertising strategies for new and existing products. The Product Marketing Manager manages all aspects of the planning, developing, managing, and delivering messaging materials for the business. The Product Marketing Manager drives the creation of marketing and media strategies by determining product positioning, key target marketing and related key messaging strategies based off of market insight and research.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Provide leadership for the product marketing processes and key marketing deliverables by establishing strategies and plans that support marketing and business initiatives.

Participate as a member of cross functional product development teams.

Establish and manage market strategies and plans, provide marketing direction to field sales and other strategic channels (e.g. distribution channels), including execution of product commercialization plans.

Lead marketing efforts to understand segment influencers including customer demographics, competitive assessments, and market needs.

Establish, build, and maintain key internal and external relationships, including cross functional teams, sales, and opinion leaders.

Define and implement clear product positioning and messaging for associated products. Develop and implement product training and educational tools.

Determine market insight to identify prime opportunities for product launch
Keep up-to-date on new developments and trends to understand customer and market needs for assigned products.

Determine appropriate media channels to utilize to maximize impressions for targets and drive sales leads.

Communicate consistent message across print and electronic media.

Create multi media marketing campaigns by partnering with internal customers and third party venders/agencies to develop and launch regional campaigns.

Ensure the measurement and optimization of digital media campaigns.
 
Develop and implement strategy for using social media avenues (Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter, etc)
Develop Internet marketing programs to drive awareness and lead generation for B2B and B2C opportunities.

Managing sales lead collection, validation, measurement, prioritization, and distribution process. Manage the Inside Sales Organization to ensure effective nurturing of leads and measure value of various lead sources.

 <br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b>:  

Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree required (MBA preferred) plus 10+ years of successful related business experience, preferably product marketing related

 Skills:  

Demonstrated success working as an integral cross functional team member

Comprehensive understanding of the marketing and product planning process.

Strong cross-functional management skills with demonstrated ability to effectively utilize internal resources to meet project deadlines and objectives.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to listen and assess customer needs, prioritize needs/requirements, and communicate them cross-functionally.

Excellent leadership, presentation, and negotiation skills to work effectively in driving a franchise and participating as a member of cross functional teams.

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Corporate Communications.

Strong relationship building skills to constructively foster relationships internally and externally, including key opinion leaders.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

High level of motivation with the ability to operate as an individual and team contributor.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project).

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Knowledge and understanding of how to utilize social media tools (Facebook, LinkedIn, twitter, etc) for marketing and lead generation purposes"

As our Regional Sales Representative working out of your home office, you'll be a senior member of our sales team. In this position, you will work to strategically target potential customers (builders, architects and developers) to generate and grow new business and to successfully convert the target audience from using traditional building products to using James Hardie products. You will also position our unique product value proposition and whole-product solution to the customer to build and enhance new strong customer relationships and to become a superior business partner.
'What's next? Come Home to Hardie'. Use marketing savvy and new technology to build strong business relationships with Building Material Dealers, Architects, Contractors, and Builders.


 <br><br><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b>: 
  Works collaboratively with the appropriate Area Sales Manager (ASM) to target and successfully sell to builders within the key target profile, leveraging key channel partners and preferred wholesalers, dealers, and installers;
  Concentrates business-focused selling efforts on customers within the target audience profile to create and retain sales demand for the Company's interior products and positions the Company's value proposition solution to the customer ;
  Manages an assigned sales territory and reports on related marketing activities on a weekly basis; and
  Educates and convinces builders to convert from using their current building products to using the Company's products; and
  Sells the Company's product to contractors and store purchasing agents via in-store channels (Lowe's and Home Depot), on the job site, and at appropriate events


 <br><br><b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b>: 
  Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals;
  Proven success in developing new business and generating sales leads by managing a territory and selling activities;
  Demonstrated ability in problem solving, crafting a win-win solution (collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely basis) and negotiation with special emphasis on closing the sale;
  Demonstrated intermediate skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and proprietary software);
  Excellent presentation skills before both small and large groups; and
  Willingness and ability to work from home office environment and structure a productive day with little to no supervision.


 <br><br><b>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE</b>: 
  Bachelor's degree (in Sales and/or Marketing preferred) (Advanced degree preferred).
  7 or more years of successful outside sales experience selling value-added, whole solution products to customers within the consumer durables, manufacturing, telecommunications, or other transferable industry.
  Experience with market development concepts [adoption lifecycle, market development checklist, and STP (segmenting / targeting / positioning)] based on sustaining products and innovations.
  Sales management and market development experience (preferred)."
