You'll be based out of Peru, IL at our state of the art trim manufacturing facility. You will report directly to the Plant Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES::
Your leadership skills and your ability to manage projects are exactly what we need to ensure all projects are managed effectively and efficiently. Your projects will deliver one or more of the following to the business: new products, product improvements, and process upgrades; Your team skills and creativity will result in solid relationships with manufacturing plant personnel and R&D to ensure development of viable, achievable processes that can be implemented within specific cost and time restraints; and You can play a dramatic role in impacting our business by enhancing durability, quality, new production capacity, efficiency, and/or safety in such a way that the projects are resourced to further our market position in the building products industry.


QUALIFICATIONS::
The key requirements for the role are to have a strong relevant background in extrusion and mechanical engineering. You will need to utilize your strong background to help the trim business overcome some key challenges. Demonstrated ability to work with and drive cross-functional groups and external partners. Strong track-record of developing and implementing innovative solutions to complex problems in a timely manner. Demonstrated use of project management skills. Demonstrated intermediate skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, and other proprietary software). Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with best-practices principles such as Six Sigma -Total Quality Management (TQM) (preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication and interrelationship skills. Knowledge and understanding of process flows. Ability to observe and understand existing and new processes. Ability to observe and troubleshoot process issues. Excellent documentation and presentation skills.



EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Material Science). Two or more years of experience leading or managing projects. Three or more years of hands on experience in manufacturing / industrial setting. Experience in coating processes, paper manufacturing, composite panel, cement or building products industry (preferred). Experience in extrusion, ideally both single and twin screw extrusion."
