External Reporting Supervisor Job

Title: External Reporting Supervisor
Job Description: "As a member of the Corporate Finance Department, the External Reporting Supervisor reports to the Corporate Controller. The External Reporting Supervisor is responsible for the accurate preparation and related disclosures in the annual and quarterly consolidated financial statements. The External Reporting Supervisor will share a pool of staff within the Corporate Finance Department for other projects. Position
RESPONSIBILITIES: Recurring Responsibilities • Timely and accurate preparation of US GAAP based annual and quarterly consolidated financial statements that are issued to the US Securities and Exchange Commission and stock exchanges. • Research corporate transactions and other issues for proper US GAAP reporting. • Research new US GAAP Accounting pronouncements and provide recommendation to the Corporate Controller of financial reporting impact and disclosure. • Coordination with U.S., Australian, New Zealand, Philippines, and European finance/accounting managers, managing their preparation of timely and accurate financial data for financial disclosure in the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements. • Assist U.S., Australian, New Zealand, Philippines, Dutch and Irish finance/accounting managers in addressing US GAAP reporting issues for new transactions and new US GAAP pronouncements. • Filing of annual, quarterly and other reports with the SEC. • Working closely with the other members of the Corporate Finance Department, performing monthly close procedures and review of consolidation and other Corporate Finance Department lead transactions. • High level review of the group consolidation prepared by the Corporate Reporting Manager. • Assist in preparation and review of consolidation transaction recorded by the Corporate Reporting Manager. • Timely and accurate preparation of Irish GAAP based annual consolidated and stand alone financial statements that are filed annually with Irish Companies Registration Office and mailed to shareholders as part of the shareholder annual general meeting. • Coordination of the 3-year plan and quarterly forecasting Project Responsibilities • Accounting research projects • Other Finance projects The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. QUALIFICATIONS: may be required and/or assigned as necessary. Position Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Required: • Exceptional knowledge of US GAAP • Excellent analytical skills • Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals • Excellent problem solving skills • Good supervisory skills • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office; Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint • Ability to travel (<10%) • Experience with conversions to IFRS is a plus
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Required: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA required). • 4 or more years of big four public accounting experience. • Demonstrated experience with preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements. Multi-national experience preferred. • 2 or more years of experience leading others.
