Title: Sr. Financial Analyst
Job Description: "Position Summary The position will be responsible for providing financial analysis for the Commercial Services Group and providing financial leadership on engineering projects as required by the Company. This role requires a high level of decision making skills. Candidate, will be required to make recommendations for managerial decision making based on analytical insights. Candidate will be involved in providing detailed financial analysis to the Commercial Services Group. He will be required to work with project managers to develop cost models for new products and processes, reviewing and providing financial advice on capital projects. He will also be responsible for facilitating the development of SG&A budgets and capital budgets for the Commercial Services Group. Position Responsibility Guidelines • Developing capital budgets for Engineering projects, including getting bids from equipment manufacturers. • Develops integrated financial analysis tools to be used for modeling the financial performance of the Purchasing, R&D and Manufacturing Engineering organizations by: - Developing cost models and analysis for new products - Providing financial and analytical support on product trials - Performing cost benefit analysis for Engineering and R&D projects • Assists in the analysis of new capital investment proposals for Manufacturing Engineering Group by: - Developing project cost models - Reviewing investment analysis - Reviewing CER • Responsible for internal reporting of performance of the Engineering Group (including MG&A reports/analysis and all other management reporting requirements. • Develops and maintains planning and budgeting systems and controls for the Engineering Group by: - Developing budgeting tools - Developing annual expense and capital budgets • Assist in the development of monthly raw material requirement forecast. • Responsible for all procurement related activities for the Engineering group. Position Requirements Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 1. Demonstrated ability to successfully analyze financial data (e.g., validity of data including balance sheet account balance, profit and loss variance, volume trends, and return on investments), including creating spreadsheets with the information, explaining variances, identifying issues, and making appropriate recommendations. 2. Demonstrated ability to successfully apply forecasting techniques and skills to develop and evaluate business goals and strategies, analyze information to derive insights and implications to initiate planning and/or re-planning, and controlling actual results versus budget. 3. Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion. 4. Demonstrated operational accounting background (cost accounting, including project costing) 5. Excellent analytical and decision making skills 6. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting deadlines and demanding quality execution. 7. Demonstrated advanced skills with the standard features of various personal computer word processing and spreadsheet software (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet, pivot tables & V Lookups, and other financially-related and proprietary software). 8. Teamwork/Collaboration expertise with significant experience in team/project-oriented activities. 9. Demonstrated experience in ERP systems software (SAP preferred) 10. Ability to communicate cost & financial information to all levels across the business
