This is an exciting time for James Hardie and you'll play a large part as either a Market Analyst or a Financial Analyst by analyzing the financial performance of the business; gathering competitive and market intelligence to identify key trends, opportunities, and risks; assists in the analysis of capital investment proposals; analyzing sales trends and market data to prepare tactical plans and monitor progress toward sales goals. You'll be based out of Chicago, IL at our regional corporate office and you'll report directly to the Director of Finance. This truly is a position where you can determine your own career success. RESPONSIBILITIES: we have determined for our Financial and Market Analyst roles. RESPONSIBILITIES: Utilizes skills and abilities to provide market intelligence to senior leaders so that the information may be considered when developing strategic plans; Analyzes and assesses financial results (monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annually; Undertaking competitive, market, and industry research to provide insight into the key issues impacting the business; Assists in the development, implementation, and tracking progress of tactical plans to increase sales penetration within identified opportunities; Independently collects, updates, and analyzes information pertaining to the top builders in the United States utilizing the Company's existing database; Facilitating the annual operating budget review and rolling quarterly forecast updates for James Hardie Building Products (U.S.A) and involvement in the continued enhancement of the process to improve relevance and resource allocation; and Assisting in the analysis of new capital investment proposals.


QUALIFICATIONS:: Ability to challenge information and a passion to exhaustively uncover robust facts and data which improve insights and the quality of the final decision. Proven ability to synthesize complex and detailed data and information into meaningful outtakes and decision base information. Demonstrated expertise of research methods and report preparation. Ability to offer advanced solutions based on collected, summarized, and analyzed data.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field supporting analytical work. (MBA strongly preferred). Prior experiences as an analyst within a sales or marketing environment (focusing on sales operations preferred). 3 or more years of experience communicating cost and financial information to all levels of the organization. Strong statistical background in data analysis and trend forecasting."
